What Is Stored on Your Site and What Stays in Paddle
PaddleSubs keeps on your site only what your site needs to work:
-
the Paddle IDs of your products, prices, discounts, customers and transactions;
-
each product's category, level, access level, user groups and licensing settings, and each one-time price's period;
-
which Paddle customer is which Joomla user;
-
the Access Subscriptions, licenses and site activations, with their history;
-
the queue of webhooks, for 60 days.
Product names and descriptions, amounts, currencies, tax, invoices, payment methods and payouts stay in Paddle. Pages that show them read them from Paddle as they are shown; pages that only list your own records, such as Access Subscriptions, never wait for Paddle. If Paddle can't be reached, list pages show a warning and what your site already has.
Most of what you set in PaddleSubs is also written into the Paddle product's custom data, so a site connected to the same Paddle account later can rebuild its products from Paddle. Level groups are the exception: levels exist only on your site.
