Chapter 9. The Admin Pages

The Access Subscriptions Page

The record of who has access to what. Each row shows the ID, the Product and price, the User, the Transaction Status with its last adjustment and its date, as on the Transactions page (or, for a record with no transaction, Imported or Granted by and the administrator's name), when it starts and ends (or Lifetime), when it was created, and whether it is published.

Anyone who can open PaddleSubs can read the list. Creating, editing, publishing, trashing and deleting records needs the Grant access permission, and Sync from Paddle needs Manage customers.

Filter by Product, Transaction Status (which also offers Imported and Granted by an administrator) and published state, and by dates: Valid on or after, Valid before, Expires on or after, Expires before, Created on or after and Created before. The published state filter offers Published, Unpublished, Pending (paid access waiting for its window to open, shown with a yellow pause button that says when it starts), Trashed and All. Search finds a customer by name, username, email address, or the email address Paddle has for them.

This page reads only your site's records, so it is quick and works while Paddle is down. Webhooks keep it up to date. Sync from Paddle catches up after missed events, or when you connect PaddleSubs to a Paddle account that has been used before: it fetches the products, customers and transactions your site doesn't have, connects customers to Joomla accounts, and restores Access Subscriptions saved in transactions' custom data. When it is done it says PaddleSubs is up to date with Paddle.

Access Subscriptions are created by purchases and imports, and by an administrator with New: see the section called “Granting Access by Hand”.

To remove one, select it and choose Trash under Actions. Like unpublishing, this takes away the user groups its product grants, except those another published Access Subscription of the user still grants. Trashed records are left out of the list: choose Trashed in the published state filter to see them, then Delete to delete them for good, or Publish or Unpublish to bring them back. All shows every record.

Clicking a pending record's pause button unpublishes it, so it never starts. Publishing a record whose window hasn't started makes it pending instead: it grants nothing until the lifecycle task publishes it when its window opens. Unpublished and trashed records stay as you left them, and new purchases don't stack behind them.
