Step 9: Test the End of a Membership

Don't wait a year to see a membership end. Test it now:

Procedure 5.7. End the test membership early

  1. In Access Subscriptions, open the test purchase, set Ends to a time a few minutes ago, and click Save & Close.

  2. Run the PaddleSubs - Access subscription lifecycle task.

  3. The Access Subscription is now unpublished, the account is no longer in Gold Members, and the customer received Your access to Gold Membership has expired. Reload the article as that customer: the members' part has gone and the invitation is back.

Also try a refund: buy the monthly price, then refund the transaction in full from your Paddle dashboard (Transactions → Refund). Once the refund is approved and its webhook processed, the access ends straight away, without waiting for its window.
