Scheduled Tasks Reference

PaddleSubs does its background work as Joomla scheduled tasks. You add each task once in System → Scheduled Tasks and choose its schedule on the Execution Rules tab; the section called “Setting Up the Scheduled Tasks” explains how, and how to run Joomla's scheduler from CRON so tasks run on time.

Every task can be run at once with Run Test, or from the command line with php cli/joomla.php scheduler:run --id=task ID. A task's last result shows in the list: it succeeded, it stopped part-way and will carry on at its next run, or it failed, in which case the reason is in the PaddleSubs log (see the section called “Reading the Logs”).
